Hi Emmanuel,

I do not believe that this is actually a National Instruments GPIB interface.  As far as I can tell, it is made by the Brasilian company Sistemas Tecnicas Digitais.  I found an old DOS driver at this website.  You may want to consider upgrading to a newer interface which will likely be easier to use, and will have native Windows 98 drivers.

Oh yes, you're right! I need to use this "old" card because a program traditionnaly used here was made using this card and it has to run on a 486 computer for timing reasons... I also use that great NI usb-GPIB card for some other project in combination with python (pyvisa), it runs like a charm!

Coming back to the STD 8410
Well I don't know how you did find this webpage with the driver! What's your secret? I couldn't figure out the download page there (at least I didn't managed google to tell it to me!).
It seems gpibv306.exe is the right file! Now I try to run to see if I could make it work!

Big thank you!
Emmanuel.

Hi Emmanuel,

I just used Google to search for STD-8410 gpib, and once you get past the results for this forum you will find the fsauto.com.br link.  If you then go to their main web page you will find a Download link.

I am glad to hear that your NI GPIB interface is working well.  Good luck getting this one back up and running!
