Hello all,
I'm not trying to troll, but looking at http://www.ni.com/ivi/list.htm you get the idea that IVI compatible hardware is few and all but obsolete. When doing a little research shows a lot more compatible hardware. So, is there a more complete list of IVI hardware somewhere ?
In particular I'm open to suggestions for a light (even handheld) digital multimeter (or possibly even osciloscope) with a USB interface that can take SCPI commands and also be used by the IVI library. I currently use a HP 34410a, but it's ancient and big. I don't need much performance, but I have a hard time finding references.
Thanks.

IVI is very much alive. There is no real IVI hardware it is more a matter of does that hardware have an IVI driver. So look here: http://www.ivifoundation.org/registered_drivers/driver_registry.aspx

Thanks for the link; yes it looks much more promising this way !
So, any recommendation for a handheld (or small) multimeter with USB / SCPI / IVI ?

I don't think your going to have much luck with a handheld Dmm and a IVI driver. Even Fluke only has IVI drivers for its bench top models

Thanks for the info, I'm no expert on those instruments and it's difficult to find general info on the web, I have to search the user manual PDFs just to know what kind of connectors they have... So anyone knows what are the cheapest bench models with IVI / SCPI / USB ?

Not sure if this list is up to date, but there are a few pages of DMM's found at the IVI foundation.
