Can't upload firmware to Arduino Leonardo

Hi,

When going to upload the firmware to the board (Arduino Leonardo) it shows a message that says it couldn't connect to the board. I've done every step before that correctly, but it just wouldn't connect. I tried connecting it to a friend's Arduino UNO and it uploaded the firmware successfully. Has it something to do with the type of Arduino? How can I fix this?
