cant find comm ports on cfp 2120

HI I have MAX version 4, I can detect my relay cars, AIO and thermocouple card, but when searching for the comm ports it times out, any ideas?

I have labview 7,

anyone have any ideas I can try? I can run my VI's no problem talking to the cards, but no luck with the serial ports.

Hi Chris,

From MAX, I don't think you can detect the COM ports on the cFP controller. They can be accessed, AFAIK, only from the VIs on the controller itself.

Hi found the answer on the site, I need to install real-time,

I was getting confused that u could Add a comm resource but all that is a way to communicate to the Fieldpoint, not to access its comms.
