I am happy to announce a new feature available to our community members! The NI Idea Exchange is a product feedback forum where NI R&D and users work together to submit ideas, collaborate on their development, and vote for the ones they like best. Right now we only offer the LabVIEW Idea Exchange but hope to offer Idea Exchanges that feature additional products in the future. Post an idea or add your opinion on an existing one today!
Be sure to check out the NI Idea Exchange tour from LabVIEW Community Manager Todd Sierer:

It seems there is no way to edit posts, even right after posting. Could you activate this capability? Please?
I just posted this idea, and rushed the post with the assumption that I can (1) proofread (there are two typos!) and (2) embed the image, but it seems editing is not possible. Did I miss something?

It seems it is impossible to float the "ideas" board, even though the button exists. Is this by design or an oversight?

In general, I think the idea is great, if only for allowing people to be able to track suggestions they and others have already submitted, thus working around that part of the black hole nature of the PS database.

Worked fine for me, although it's possible I did it through the board options.
I have my own problems with this:

Ah, I think I found the problem.
There seems to be an upper limit of 13(?) floating boards. I unfloated another board and the Ideas board appeared like magic. 😉

I can't tell yet, but if there's no easy way to see new comments, then we have a problem.
Austin, we have a problem.
The challenge is to find the post marked as New.

I am investigating this issue and will let you know what I find out.
Thanks,

I submitted your idea to Lithium about being able to choose the "New Ideas" tab as your default.
The number of comments on each idea are displayed as a link just below the idea itself, much like is done on a blog post. I also added a widget to the sidebar that displays the latest comments so that will help show where the comments are posted.
I've asked about the ability for users to configure their display so only the titles show in the Idea Exchange and an easier way to see comments in such a view.
I think the new post was a comment on one of the ideas. If you haven't viewed the comment it will say "1 Comment (1 New)" below the idea.
I re-submitted your request regarding the order of floated threads and the ability to remove administrator floated threads.
Thanks,
Laura

Good point, which brings me to two other questions: Does this mean that we should no longer tell users to use the Product Suggestion Center? Does it mean that if we've made suggestions to the PSC then we should repost them in this new board?
