There are other mysterous things going on:

I created a post with a snippet.

After posting the image shows fine in the post. Some minutes later the image has vanished, only the name of the snippet is shown.

Ok, I created a second post for that snippet: same procedure of vanishing image after some minutes.

It seems like it might be fixed now.  The zip file Christian talked about, I also got errors when trying to pull the files out of it yesterday, but today I can do it just fine.  And the snippet images seem to show up now in the message thread Gerd is referencing.  (Though I was not on the forums before now to see if they were ever missing for me.)

Same problem again:

I posted a message with a picture and verified it can be seen. Now some minutes later I only see the picture's filename! Here…

What's going on here?

Edit:

When I look at the HTML source of the message and try to open the link to the picture I get a FireFox error message saying "the image can't be displayed because it contains errors" (rough translation from German)…

Digging something deeper:

 Here FF refuses to load.

When I copy that link to a new tab and "clean" it up to

 FF can load the image without problems…

Can NI/Lithium verify this annoyance?
