I have a brand new PXIe-1085 system with two NI-PXI-4110 DC supplies. The DCpower soft panel does not find the device. I am using DCPOWER 15.1. any suggestions?

Could you check if ModInst and SysConfig recognize the device?
You could use the two attached VIs (LabVIEW 2012).

We use CVI

Here is a CVI example for using NI-ModInst: http://www.ni.com/example/28726/en/
What happens when you call Self Test or Reset on either 4110 in MAX?
What happens when you call Soft Front Panel from either 4110 in MAX?
Are you able to create a simulated PXI-4110 from MAX?

the cvi code returns no devices found.
I cannot reset the device in MAX but it is present (do not see reset option (but can open a visa test panel)
MAX inidicates the device is ready
The dc soft panel starts but stops with an error message "no valid devices found"
windows device manager sees the devices but the driver version is not available.

Hi Joncombat,
Were the NI 4110 modules both just purchased from NI?
I've seen similar behavior from 4110 modules that were missing their user-replacable fuses. Refer to this document for the location of the fuses and make sure that they are there. You could also use a DMM to make sure that the fuses are good. I would expect the resistance to read < 1 Ω.

I am out of the office until June 1st. This is a brand new unit that was never turned on.
