I want to use a DAQCard-6533 in a Toshiba Card Station IV.

The Card shows up in the Hardware configuration and in the MAX, but the computer freezes when I try to run the resource test or the test panel.
If I insert the card in one of the slots of the laptop, it runs OK.

When you have the card in one of the slots of the laptop, go into Windows Device Manager and see what resources are assigned to it. Then do the same thing when the card is in the Card Station and see what differs.

Also, do other cards work in the Card Station?

Hello Brian,

Thanks for your answer.
I tried one other card in the CardStation slot, and it worked (a CANcardX from Vector Informatics).
The resources for the internal and external slot differ in the interrupt. For the CANcardX, that seems to be OK, but the DAQcard crashes. The external slot uses interrupt 11, which is shared by many other devices. Is this the cause of the problem?

Greetings,

Yes, the shared interrupt may be causing the problem since the DAQCard requires an IRQ for itself. See if you can assign it a different IRQ that is not used by anything else.
