DQMH 7.0 beta

Hello fellow DQMHers,

just in case you haven't seen our recent posts on social media:

DQMH 7.0 Beta is out! 🥳

New features include:

  • Scripting of helper loops
  • Scripting of private & local events
  • More screen estate (wider structures)
  • New documentation format (https://documentation.dqmh.org/dqmh/)
  • Many new validation tests + fixers
  • …and many more!!

More details about what’s new can be found here:
https://documentation.dqmh.org/dqmh/7.0/WhatisNewInDQMH.html

The beta can be downloaded from:

Adding the new features is the easy part - we love working on DQMH, and new features are fun to add. But invisibly, we've spent 100s of hours on testing and documenting this release. Now we need the help of our #LabVIEWfriends: While we think that 7.0 is basically ready for a major release, we ask all of you to test-drive the beta and let us know about any unexpected behaviour or issues!

How long does a DQMH release typically remain in beta?

Historically anywhere between one and three months. We aim to make it as short as possible, though 🙂

Great news, looking forward to test it! Should I remove the previous DQMH package (6.1.0.90) from the VIPM first or should it be installed without doing so?

No need to uninstall first. Upgrading the currently-installed packages is fine.

This one seems like a 404.

The assume that the the right link is:

Thanks for pointing this out 1984. Indeed we've made major changes recently to our documentation system for the DQMH Consortium's products.

We've made additional improvements this morning so the 404 issues should no longer occur.

Each product now has a real folder for each version number (i.e. dqmh now has a folder named 6.1 and another folder named 7.0). Then we have redirect rules that always redirect "latest" to the latest version number folder.
