Multiple Channels and linked to different Y-Axis on same graph

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi there,

I have been searching around the forums and google to try and find out how to plot my 48 channels to a single graph and depending on the units plot it to 1 of 4 Y-Axis.

I have 48 Channels all of them share the same X-Axis time base.

The 48 channels are a mixed bag of Flow, Pressue, Temp and other. The units can be found in the "Units" Property to the channel.

I would like to have 4 Y-Axis to reflect my 4 units, and would like all 48 channels to be plotted on the same graph, aloted to the relavant axis.

I appreciate I may have to script this which is fine, as this is a small segment of my script. Any help, hints or information would be greatly appreciated. I am struggling to find any documentation as to where to start with this.

Best Wishes

KR

Hi KR,

One way you could do this is to use the multi-axis functionality in the REPORT view to allow multiple Y axes which share multiple data sets. There's a really good post on that here. Do you think that might work for what you're looking for?

Hi KR,

After speaking to colleagues I believe you may now have a solution to this, but for the benefit of others, the solution is to use 'Curve related' scaling in the 2D Axis System Display window of the VIEW pane. To have this feature enabled you need to be using n systems or n y-axes.

More info can be found here: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370858M-01/dlgview/dlgview/view_scaling_manual_dialog/
