DIAdem Abbreviation

Hi,

I am just starting with DIAdem.Could anybody let me know whats the abreviation for DIAdem ?

Hi Ravi,

The word "Dia" means "slide" or "visualization" in German.  When the software switched from DOS to Windows 3.1, it was renamed from DIA to DIAdem to distinguish it as a Windows-based application.   "Diadem" in Greek means "royal crown", and identical words with the same meaning exist in both German and English.  So the product started as a way to visualize data and ended up positioned as "crowning" software.
