PGN and SPN display in Dataportal / channels

I'm trying to see if there is a way to include PGN's and SPN's in the channel's in the data portal, in such a way that it can be searched using the channel and group filters.

I am using the bus log converter to convert a J1939 log, using a vector DBC for the channel assignments. The bus log converter converts the SPN's and PGN's into their noun names in the DBC, but I would like to have the numbers available for search in the data portal in Decimal.

Is there any way to do this without having to go in and manually add the information to the signal assignments in the DBC.

Questions related to the bus log converter are best to be posted at DIAdem board.

What version of DIAdem are you using? A quick search shows that there are some bugs related to the bus log converter for J1939 in different versions.

DIAdem 2017 64-bit Readme: 620412

The Bus Log Converter does not evaluate the J1939 protocol in Vector

BLF logfiles.

DIAdem 2020 Bug Fixes: 903229
NAVIGATOR: In the Bus Log Converter, J1939 messages sent from all addresses to all other addresses are not processed correctly.
Workaround:

There is currently no known workaround for this issue.

I'll try posting it over there too.

I don't think its a bug that I am chasing, it might be a limitation of the bus log converter. It works correctly with the J1939 DBC I am using to convert the trace files from the formats I use (usually .trc or .asc) and display the noun names of the PGN's as groups and the SPN's as the individual channels.

It's just that the fault codes I use reference a specific SPN/FMI combo, but the fault description only give you the SPN number, but they do not directly reference the standard noun name of the paramter, making finding the suspect parameter in DIAdem difficult if you do not also have access to something like the J1939DA document, or an SPN converter.

I was just hoping to be able to pull other values from the DBC file and reference them in the channel names in the data portal
