What type of battery would give longest life for WSN-3202

What type/brand of batteries would you suggest for maximizing the life of a WSN-3202. It would be in end-node configuration, reading voltages from a half-bridge and transmitting once every hour.  We would like an overall life of ten years, with a minimum number of trips to replace batteries. Could we substitute C or D batteries or a custom Li battery to get better longevity?

Hey Jason,

AA batteries are the only batteries that are supported in the device.  If you wish to use any other battery type, you can connect that to the external power (in which case you would need to use the external power estimates given in the manual).

Please let me know if you need power usage numbers at a specific external voltage.

Regards,

The batteries recommended will be energiser EN91 and Duracell will give the longest battery life for WSN-3202.
