Home License Update

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a user with a PC at home using a non-expiring Home License file for LabVIEW 2013 Professional Developoment System.

They are being offered, by NI Update Service, many LabVIEW 2014 updates.

Will their existing Home License file license them for these LabVIEW 2014 updates (in full licensed mode not in time limited evaluation mode) or will they need to be issued with a new Home License file?

Hi Dave,

As long as you have a current and up to date SSP, this shouldn't be a problem but I would be sure to contact your local customer support to check the status of your SSP

Hey PetrolDave,

Actually, once you install the upgraded volume license file (that contains LabVIEW 2014) on your VLM server, you will need to create new Home Licenses for your home users if they want to use the newest version of LabVIEW at home.
