Way to set custom item property in *.fpgaconfig file?

Is there a way to create and set a custom item property (like what you would create using the "NI VeriStand - Set Item Property" VI) from a *.fpgaconfig file for an FPGA data channel?

Sorry, this isn't what I was looking for. I was trying to set item properties for FPGA channels in VeriStand through XML files.

After having a conversation with another NI engineer, I found out that what I was looking for isn't available in VeriStand.
