VeriStand 2010 Custom Device Tutorial not working

Hello,

I'm having trouble working through the Building Custom Devices for NI VeriStand tutorial ( http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/9348 ). I've followed the instructions verbatim through the "Adding the Custom Device" and "Control Logging from the NI VeriStand Workspace" section, but afterwards there is no tdms file on the C:\ drive to inspect.

I'm running NI VeriStand 2010 on the localhost... does anyone know what I could be missing here?

Unless NIVS is run with administrative privledges on windows, the file will likely fail to be created on the c drive root. Try changing your path or running NIVS with administrative privledges (right click option).
