Shortening Channel Names on Logging Specification

I am supporting a project where the user is using a few logging specs for their tests. They're using VeriStand 2020.

When adding channels from the aliases they end up with a whole bunch of signals that are called something like "Aliases/Folder 1/Folder 2/..../Signal 1" (example). Is there a way to get these channels to be called "Signal 1", "Signal 2" instead? Shortening the name from the Alias file path to the signal?

RenameChns DataPortal.VBS will shorten the channel names in the Data Portal

RenameChns Navigator Search.VBS will shorten the channel names in the result of the DIAdem Navigator Search

Lib_MechatronicSolutionsLLC.VBC must be in the same folder / root directory as the VBS script for it to function properly

Note, if you use the VeriStand Editor logging specification file as the data logger [https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/veristand/page/data-logging-options.html] the channel names are not as lengthy
