Incorporating video camera into Veristand project

Has anyone incorporated a video camera into a Veristand project?  If so, I'd be interested in steps to do this.  I am running a CRIO 9049 controller using Veristand 2020.  I was wondering if it would be possible to buy something like a simple usb webcam and plug it into the controller, or maybe a POE security camera and use one of the Ethernet ports on the controller, and then have the SDF recognize the device.  I'd love to be able to record our test stand as it runs and align the video with our data in DIAdem.

It is technically possible, but the webcam should be USB Video Class (UVC) compliant. What Cameras Are Supported on NI Linux Real-Time Targets?

Besides, a USB camera is only supported with IMAQdx driver, which requires a NI-VAS license. Is a License Needed to Work With NI Vision Acquisition Software?

On top of that, you would need to create your own custom device. I am not aware of any existing custom device created using IMAQ API.
