Hi all,
I am currently trying to communicate over CAN bus with Veristand and a compactRIO using NI 9852 Module.
I am using Scan Engine and EtherCAT Custom Device, but it is not possible to add a CAN module directly from this custom device. I saw it was possible to use the XNET 986x modules using the "hybrid mode" of the FPGA target, but does this works for the 9852 module ? If not, what solution should I use ?
Thank you for your help,
Maxime

Hi Maxime,
You're right when you say it works on XNET 986x, and I confirm you it won't work on your 9852.
I advise you to follow this link here.

Hi Romain,
I am already using Scan Engine and EtherCAT Custom Device. From what I read in different pages (here and here), my 9852 module is not so easy to use with cRIO, and there is no support at all for Veristand.
Apparently, the solution would have been to create an FPGA-based personnality for use in Veristand...
Conclusion : I will buy an XNET module.
