C code dll

I have followed the framework model setup on writing C code which can be compiled and used as a model in Veristand. I am told that I can use Veristand to compile my code (currently storec as a .c file in notepad)  to a .dll. I do not have Matlab, simulink, or any C compiler on my computer. Can someone walk me through the process?

KB 5TGFF3DP: NI VeriStand Version Compatibility lists the compiler types and versions that support each version of VeriStand.  The MSVS Express Editions are free downloads from the Internet.  Also see Using C/C++ Models.

Hi,

NI VeriStand Model Framework provides tools for compiling models designed in C/C++ or third-party modeling environments, such as The MathWorks, Inc. Simulink software.
The NI veristand Modell Framework is not installed by default unless you have Simulink installed. Otherwise, you must manually include the NI VeriStand Model Framework when you install NI VeriStand.
