In fact, we reported this problem to NI. Effectively in Veristand R4, a background task takes 100 % of one core (and it could switch from one core to another) . This seems to be corrected in VeriStand R5 (didn't tried it yet). However it will not improve your performance. If you calculate the average of all your cores you will effectively notice a difference and conclude in performance improvement. But the problem was only this task that should not take100% of one core. Your other tasks wont run faster with R5.
So , i think the main improvement were made in the editor ...

Hello Kaboom.
Okay got it. we saw the reduction in overall CPU utilization of Veristand Process.
And also in our case we saw reduced HP Count with R6 where we are using Windows and Pharlap controller in one of the project, where we have time drifting. And looks like its bit reduced and we are still working on that.
