nimax can't find nidaqcfg.dll and imaqcfm.dll

I just reinstalled NI-VXI and when I power up the computer I get the message that nimax.exe can't find nidaqcfg.dll and imaqcfm.dll

Ok, those look like DAQ and IMAQ libraries; I don't think you'll need those for your VXI applications.  Do you have DAQ and IMAQ hardware installed?  Did you ever have NI-DAQ or NI-IMAQ software installed?  Can you still launch MAX?  The first thing to try to verify that your VXI HW and SW are working properly.  I would launch MAX (if you can), find a VXI resource/module under Devices and Interfaces, right click on it, and select Open VISA Session.
