Redhat Linux version that works with NI-VXI pcimxi 1.6.x

I have had problems compiling the vxi driver for NI-VXI pcimxi (1.6.4) under Redhat Linux 7.0 (see attached). I can use a different version of Redhat Linux, but I would prefer not to have to upgrade to the version 2.0 NI-VXI driver. What version of Redhat Linux works with a 1.6.x version of the NI-VXI driver?

Hi Kevin,

We have since updated the KB that discusses what versions of the NI-VXI driver for Linux are supported for the different versions of Redhat. Please see the link below:

KB 2GJ9RB00: What Linux Kernel do the Different Versions of NI-VXI Support?

I have also replied to the email that you sent in on the subject. I will continue our correspondence via your email.

Redhat Linux 7.0 installs Linux kernel 2.4 headers (?!?!) in the default location (/usr/include/linux). In order to compile against kernel 2.2 headers, I had to install the Linux kernel source RPM and modify the NI-VXI driver Makefile to point to the kernel source headers.
