I am looking at the possibility of replacing an obsolete VME card with a similar VXI unit (both C-sized). I would like to know if there is anything from preventing the new card from working properly in the chassis. I understand that some of the automatic VISA scanning will not be available and that some of the VXI backplane signals will not be available. Are there any technical or physical ssues that make this replacement impossible? Thanks alot for any advice.
