Installation of Visa on Opensuse 10.2

Hello Matthias,
Thanks for that location, I have downloaded and installed but the result is no better -

LinuxSuse:/usr/src/linux-2.6.18.8-0.9 # rpm -qa | grep kernel
kernel-source-2.6.18.8-0.9
kernel-default-2.6.18.8-0.9
kernel-syms-2.6.18.8-0.9
linux-kernel-headers-2.6.18.2-3

They are still not exactly the same numbers.

LinuxSuse:/usr/src/linux-2.6.18.8-0.9 # uname -r
2.6.18.8-0.9-default

However, when I run the make commands have have exactly the same missing files.

Regards,
Roger

Hmmm, stdio.h or strings.h are anyway not really
kernel files.
Maybe you are missing: glibc-devel-2.5-25.i586.rpm

Matthias,
Thank you very much, that was the answer I was needing.

I loaded that file and the make commands then ran without error. I then started the install of Visa and other than a warning about

******************************** WARNING **************************************
* The version of gcc in the path does not match the version of gcc used to    *
* compile the currently running kernel.  This can cause unpredictable         *
* behavior in kernel drivers and should be fixed.                             *

* kernel compiled with: 4.1.2                                                 *

it continued and completed the installation.

Now all I have to do is see if it works!

Regards,
Roger
