Dear colleagues,
I recently purchased the USRP X410 along with the LabVIEW 2023 Q3 Universal Edition, and also acquired the PCIE GEN3 INTERFACE KIT (which includes PCIe-8398 and one Gen3 x8 cable). I am a newcomer to using NI LabVIEW + Ettus USRP X410 and have some questions. I would greatly appreciate your assistance:
1) On the Ettus website, there is a note regarding the X410, stating that "[1] PCIe Gen3 x8 is only supported by NI-USRP and LabVIEW FPGA design flows". Does this mean I made a mistake in purchasing the LabVIEW software and should have bought the LabVIEW FPGA version?
2) Regarding the connection using LabVIEW + X410, aside from the MXI-Express Gen -3X8 MXIe link between the X410 and PCIe-8398, do I also need to connect the X410's USB Type-C to the PC's USB Type-A interface?
3) Do I also need to connect an Ethernet cable? Should the Ethernet cable be directly connected or should it be connected through a switch?
If you could provide some visual aids and, if possible, accompany each step with graphical annotations, it would be immensely appreciated. This would be of great help to newcomers like me.
