Ni-usrp 2920 drivers required for gnuradio

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi, Everyone!

I'm trying to connect my ni-usrp 2920 to work with gnuradio on windows 8 64-bit version.
I'm running gnuradio_3.7.11 downloaded from this link

I'm able to ping the device with success however when i run my gnuradio code i get this error

"RuntimeError: LookupError: KeyError: No devices found for -----> 192.168.10.2"

my device appears in the Ni-USRP configuration utility's image updater tab to be running ni292x_fpga and ni292x_fw from this path "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\NI-USRP\images" as default

I made sure i have a unique static-ip for the pc and turned off the firewall as well.

Referring to this thread i figured the problem might be with images so i installed the latest UHD and images from these links respectively

http://files.ettus.com/binaries/uhd/

As attached i don't see the n292x family so i can't decide what are the relevant images

I'd really appreciate your help!

thanks!

Hi,

To use a NI USRP with GNURadio, you will have to use a different image than the default NI FPGA image. The folder where the ni292x image lives also contains many other images. You'll most likely have to use one of the n210 images to get it to work with GNURadio.

Using USRP with GNURadio is not supported by NI, but it is supported by Ettus Research. I'd recommend reaching out to Ettus support to get more clarification on how to use it with GNURadio. I've listed a link below to their support page.
