Hi RamyElamrawy,

You will need separate PXI MXI Express interfaces for each NI USRP 2944 that you want to connect to the PXI system.

So is it applicable to connect one node to PC and other nodes as a Cascaded from that node or what? as  i need to Implement MIMO System Over 2944 USRP

RamyElamrawy,

The typical configuration is to use a PXIe chassis with PXIe-8374 modules to connect to the USRP-2944.  The PXIe-8374 and USRP-2944 each have one x4 cable connector, so it takes one PXIe-8374 (and 1 x4 cable) per USRP-2944.  You may be able to use a PCIe-8371 instead of a PXIe-8374, but that's not typical.

Another option is to use a CPS-8910.  It lets you connect up to 8 USRP-2944s to a x8 PXIe-8384 (or PCIe-8381, though that's not really suggested or tested).  You should use a fiber cable or a 2m copper cable for the x8 link.

Note that you need to pay attention to bandwidth usage as you connect multiple devices onto the same bus.  The x8 link is gen 2 PCIe, so it can support 4 USRP devices at full bandwidth.  I'm not familiar enough with them to say what affect additional devices will have.
