Twitter Toolkit Update Release 2013-06-17

The Interactive Internet Interface: Twitter Toolkit for LabVIEW (i3 Twitter) has been updated in release 2013-06-17

New features and changes include:

• Compatibility with the Twitter v1.1 API as the previous version of the API has been deprecated: https://dev.twitter.com/blog/api-v1-is-retired
• An endpoint to use a search on Twitter (such as polling for a specific hashtag as suggested here: https://decibel.ni.com/content/thread/16309?tstart=0)
• The ability to use SSL when it is available (platforms without SSL can post for now, and platforms with SSL will use it by default): https://decibel.ni.com/content/thread/17024?tstart=0
• An improved login process that is not platform specific and more user friendly
• Support for Mac OS X and Linux

Known Issues:

• LabVIEW 2012 SP1 and under is not able to post images on Mac OS X. The cause is a problem with the HTTP Post Multipart implementation and has been reported to National Instruments in CAR 394670
