Ethernet RIO on client local netowk

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all,

I have been able to setup a system link on a client pc and I can view the attached PXI rack as well as all of its cards in the "Devices and Interfaces" section. Another important part of the system is an Ethernet rio (NI9148/9149) that is connected to the client via a local network only visible to the client itself.

I was wondering if there is a way for this device to be viewed from the system link server in the devices and interfaces section of a client? If so, how would I go about doing this.

Please note that the Ethernet rio must stay on the local network because of  the way it is integrated with the system/test software.

Thanks in advance.

There isn't a way to add the NI 9148/9149 to the devices and interfaces section but you could publish system information from the ethernet RIO to a tag that is hosted on your server and use those tags to get information on the target.

Thanks for the reply.

I thought this would be the case. I will experiment with posting tag information :).

Thanks again
