The Challenge
The main challenge is to make a car
o which avoids accidents and ensure the full safety of passenger inside the car
o Fuel efficient as the vast majority of cars on the road today uses electronic fuel injection. When the car engine is cold, the computer tells the fuel injectors to stay open longer, allowing more fuel into the engine to help it run cold. As the engine warms up, the injectors let in less fuel and everything returns to normal which leads to fuel wastage
o power efficient When there is adequate light and car headlights are on then it leads to again power wastage
To avoid these shortcomings we used many sensors in the car.
The Solution
In order to find solution to the said challenge we use car with various sensors. Sensor which help in avoiding accidents, airbag inflation sensor, driver detector sensor, darkness sensor, temperature sensor and controller.
Introduction
Here we use OPAMP (operational amplifier) circuit as a driver detection sensor and in avoiding accident senor and temperature sensor and controller to maintain the temperature of engine.
An operational amplifier ("op-amp") is a DC-coupled high-gain electronic voltage amplifier with a differential input and,
usually, a single-ended output. An op-amp produces an output voltage that is typically hundreds of thousands of times larger than the voltage difference between its input terminals.
The op-amp is one type of differential amplifier. Other types of differential amplifier include the fully differential amplifier (similar to the op-amp, but with two outputs), the instrumentation amplifier (usually built from three op-amps), the isolation amplifier (similar to the instrumentation amplifier, but with tolerance to common-mode voltages that would destroy an ordinary op-amp), and negative feedback amplifier (usually built from one or more op-amps and a resistive feedback network).
System Working
Temperature sensor and controller:
The car will be equipped with temperature sensor and controller. we will just give a call to a number the power will supplied to the temperature sensor and controller and it will start fan if temperature of engine is higher than the adjusted temperature and starts heating engine if the engine temperature less then the than the adjusted temperature which will help the car to start in one time.
Accident avoider sensor
In this we will put IR receptor and IR emitter on front side of the car and when there is any obstacle in front side of car at a distance less then defined value it will automatically switch off the car and the starts applying breaks so that the car will stop in 5sec as we know the relationship distance=speed x time on the same concept the
system starts applying break before this much distance so that car will stop before the collusion
Air bag inflation
If the accident sensor fails we provided air bag system to ensure the safety of the driver in this the air bag will open when the car hits the obstacle
Driver sensor
In this we put IR emitter on the staring and IR receptor at the headrest as soon as driver sit the op-amp circuit supply power to the ignition system of car and it will automatically get started and when driver leave the car it automatically switch off the car the key feature of this sensor is when the driver sleep during driving it automatically switch off the car
Darkness sensor
This sensor is just like photo detector we will put a photo detector in series of headlight so that it will switch on the light as per the intensity of the light available outside if it is dark night then it will on the headlights and vice versa
Benefits
o Avoids accidents caused by Sleeping while driving
o Automatic start when driver sits in car
o With the help of temperature sensor and controller keep the engine at adequate temperature and save the fuel
o Ensure the full safety of the passenger and driver
Conclusion
The system is designed to sense and control the temperature in turn helping to control any fluctuation in temperature. This new system will help in creating better temperature controlled environment across personal and industrial establishments where temperature plays a vital role.
