"Openign Keynote: Keeping Pace with Automotive Technology Advancements"

As vehicles move toward autonomy, the complexity of the technology being integrated in them is accelerating at an incredible pace.  The test methods of the past cannot keep up with the current rate of technology change.  In this session, you will learn how using an open, platform-based approach can future-proof your test systems and increase your test coverage.

Solving the Unique Challenges of Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Testing

Using a hardware-in-the-loop simulator to validate the embedded control systems in vehicles is a standard practice. Hybrid and fully electric power plants add an extra layer of complexity to test because of the high-fidelity and high-speed models needed to properly simulate electrical systems. In this session, learn how an FPGA-based hardware system can properly simulate these models, and how NI's partnership with Opal-RT, the industry leader in power electronics simulation, is making it easier to build out an HIL system for hybrid and electric vehicle powertrains.

Electric Vehicle

Emulating EV Powertrains for HIL and System Integration

The powertrain of an electric vehicle reaches from the grid to the ground, and each stage contains an embedded intelligent controller.  This session will address the tools and solutions for testing and validating these intelligent subsystems of the electric powertrain.

Testing Connected Cars: Best Practices to Automate Tests for Car Multimedia / In-Vehicle Infotainment and V2X Telematics

The challenge to deliver test results for future generations of automotive technology continues to pressure test teams dealing with increasing system complexity, aggressive timelines and limited resources.  This presentation covers the latest automated testing trends for V&V and production test of multimedia, infotainment and V2X telematics systems.  You will see proven automated test system configurations from real deployments at major OEM and Tier 1 suppliers and learn how they leveraged a platform-based approach to meet their current and future test needs.

"The Evolution of ADAS: Testing Systems that Include Cameras, Radar, and Sensor Fusion"

Test requirements and technologies for in-vehicle cameras and radar are rapidly changing as they become more safety critical. As active safety systems become more sophisticated, they increasingly rely on sensor fusion to ensure proper response to the world around the vehicle.  Test complexity associated with sensor fusion is growing exponentially as we begin to move from ADAS to autonomous vehicles.  A test system built on a scalable and flexible architecture is the only way to make sure your test systems can adapt as quickly as the ADAS and autonomous technology in the vehicle. In this session, we will discuss test methodologies for addressing these requirements, such as scene generation, high bandwidth video streaming, over the air radar stimulation, and the synchronization of all of the sensor data in the vehicle.
