We are trying to measure RPM using Monarch Tachometer - ROS self powered sensor (https://monarchinstrument.com/collections/sensors/products/remote-optical-led-sensor-with-8-ft-cable..._ with NI 9401 in the cDAQ chassis.
We are an extract from the Log Data (Digital Tach, DAQmx).vi.
Attached is the program we are using to get the speed profile from the program, we would like to use this to build an orbit plot. My question is
1) What device configuration settings shoud we use in OAT Digital Tacho Process.vi for 9401 Card?
2) Our speeds of measurement are around 1000 RPM, what sampling rate and acquisiton time to use.
Simple calculation of RPM in the attached vi is giving the right value but output speed profile from OAT Digital Tacho Process is not giving the right values. We require the speed profile to use for orbit plots that is why we need the right output from OAT Digital Tacho Process.vi
Appreciate any help. I want try this first on cDAQ before implementing it on cRIO
