Hello pollon,
is LabVIEW the software you would like to use? If yes, it is possible:

Is this what you were looking for?

If you want to open @ltheux's example, don't bother. The sound file examples that come with LabVIEW are better.

Hi,
I'm having trouble with playing a wav file.
What I want to do is playing the sound when a boolean originating from a FPGA target is True.
Although I try to play the sound on the top level VI (runing on the computer) I get an error saying that it is incompatible with the current target.
A dummy copy of what I aim to do, but without FPGA target works well.
Hence I've also tried to 'isolate' the FPGA by playing the sound in another VI that talks inderectly to the FPGA via some global variable - but whatever the configuration I tried it would not work.
What is the reason why the computer is unable to play a sound as soon as it is interacting with the FPGA?
Is there a way around it?
Thanks!
