PCI-6733 jitter spec

Hi,

I'm currently designing a tool that needs to generate 4 simultaneous waveforms, at 500 kHz or 1MHz (haven't deviced yet), and thinking of using a PCI-6733 converter that we have in stock.

One important thing is that the jitter of the D/A card needs to be no more than a few nanoseconds and I'd like to know if this card meets these specs - or, what are the jitter specs of this card? I did not find any mentioning at the detailed sheet

thanks

Martijn

Dear Martijn,

thank you so much for your post on our webforum. This is depended on the accuracy of the onboard clock. If you are operating in temperature range the base clock accuracy = 0.01%; this means 100 ppm. With a clock from 20 Mhz; 100 * 1/20M = 5µs. A multifunction DAQ card like M series (0.625µs) or new X series have better stability (0.5µs) , but those aren only till 4 analog outputs.

Please let me know if you have any further questions,
