Hi,

We are measuring the Machine Condition Noise using Microphone & Accelerometer we are interested in eliminating the external noise caused by the industrial enviroment. What kind of filters can be used to eliminate the external noise. Is there any standard procedure to follow or obtain  the better quality signals measurement.

Best would be a differential measurement to cancel the noise. Example: One sensor at the base, another at the bearing and monitor the difference.

It's tricky 🙂

If the noise has a constant shape, you might substract it in the powerspectrum.

A orderanalyses for rotating machines is a way of filtering 😉
