how to measre Individual Battery voltage of a battery bank

Solved!
Go to solution

I'd like to be able to monitor each individual batteries voltage in order to keep the system working properly by changing out batteries when needed.

Is there a way to meter each battery individually?  I place a meter on any of the batteries in the series and  get the  voltage of all the batteries in the series

Thank you

That is because you have the batteries in parallel.  You could add in diodes to act as a separation between each battery and the rest of the circuit.  With the diodes, then the cell with the highest voltage will be the one to draw the current.  But you will be able to measure each cell by measuring the voltages before the diodes.
