how to configure SCXI 1120 module for 4-20 mA signal

I am trying to read in a 4-20 mA signal using a SCXI 1120 module connected to a AT-MI0-16-E1 board. I first did not think this was possible, but after conversation with a NI engineer, I was told that this set up could read a amperage signal. Since then I have not been successful.

The SCXI-1120 can only read the mA readings if you have the SCXI-1338 terminal block. Each input includes a 249 Ohm precision resistor, so you can read 0-20 mA or 4-20mA current inputs.

If you already have this then be sure that you correctly added the chassis in MAX and configured the chassis/1120 to have the correct terminal block.

Here is a good link to get started if your newer to SCXI.

Hello;

The SCXI-1120 can ready current inputs only if the terminal block SCXI-1338 is attached to it.

In case you have this terminal block already, make sure to include it as the acessory for the SCXI-1120 in MAX.

Hope this helps.
