Which module i chose?

Hi!

I have three module: SCC-68, SC-2345, and NI cDAQ-9172. (And NI PXI-6251 M series Multifunction cDAQ).

I have some SCC-module too..(like SCC-ACC01)

So, i wan't to make a system, which localize that, from which ditection the noise come...

I wan't to count it from time-differnt... (is it understandable?)

So what for me is inportant, is to collect the input voltage as fast as i can...)

Whith which module can i do it?

Thanks: Kolos

Hello,

As I can see, you have 3 NI platforms:

SC-2345,cDAQ and PXI

To get information from where "the noise comes", you need a sensor to transform the acoustic signal into electric.

The sensor seems to be a microphone, most of them requiring IEPE excitation (DSA)

Depending on your application needs, you could use a classical DAQ card with a regular microphone (+amplification) just to see if there is any signal or

you can use NI sound and vibration hardware http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/12051 ifthe application requires complex calculations

You should first define clearly the requirements and then choose the right sollution,

My recommendation is to add the 9234 module to your cDAQ chassis.  It has four channels and powers microphones, such as the ones from GRAS, http://www.gras.dk/00012/00013/00016/

The phase difference between two of the array microphones will tell you the direction of the sounds.  Simultaneous sampling of the 9234 module will give you the accuracy in the phase measurements you need.

Here is an example from one of our alliance paartners:
