What precautions should I take when my SXCI chassis is located far away from my DAQ PC?

My application includes PC with NI PCI-MIO-16E-1 card and a SCXI chassis separated by approximately 900ft of Beldon 9949 cable. The computer can not be located near the sensors and SCXI location due to safety concerns. I am using two SCB-68's at each end to convert from Beldon 9949 to SH6868EP cables. I would like to power the PC and SCXI chassis with separate UPS feed from different building transformers.

Can I have separate power feeds for DAQ PC and SCXI chassis?

What precautions should I take with the system power?

Is the Beldon 9949 cable (22 AWG overall 100% Beldfoil® aluminum-polyester shield) sufficient for this purpose?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Lee,
Make sure there is an equivalent ground to prevent any Ground loops. You should also call the cable manufacturer to make sure it is apt for the distance and other specs.

The above link discusses about noise reduction and other precautions.
