SCXI 1303 generic voltage input

Hallo everybody,

I would like to use a SCXI 1303 module to acquire a signal different than the one from a thermocouple.

My signal is current 4-20 mA; I connected a resistor of 0.47 kohm to have a voltage signal as insput of my module.

I connected the signal to my module and I defined a channel in MAX (analog input 0-10 V). The problem is that the signal I read through the NI device is different from the real one (cross checked with a voltmeter). If for example the real signal is 9.5 V, the acquisition system read 8.1 V...

Any idea? Is it linked with any configuration of the device?

Thank you

Hey pippo971,

were did you get the 8.1 V? In MAX or in LabVIEW?

You have a SCXI 1303 terminalblock, but on which SCXI-module do you put the terminalblock? Can you give us a overview of the measurement system?

Thanks,

cheggers
