PXI 1052 and PXI 6251 could not Auto recognize SCXI modules

Hello,

NI PXI-1052 CHASSIS    with NI PXI-8196 CONTROLLER and NI PXI 6251 M-Series DAQ (Installed at SLOT 4),MAX Could't Detect SCXI modules automatiocally or manually !!

Please review attached screen shoot.

NOTES:
-The SCXI power is ON
-MAX Could't AUTO DETECT SCXI modules!!
-DAQmx 8.3 and MAX 4.2 are installed
-The Chassis power is 100:240 VAC
-All the connectors pins are fine (not broken or shorted)

Hi MyKat,

Thank you for posting on the National Instruments forums.

Most likely the issue is that your DAQ card is not in the right most slot in the PXI section.

Hello,

Thanks for support..

-The PXI 6251 Daq  is installed in PXI 1052 SLOT NO 4 "The Right Most"  , also i 've review all K.B discussing similar issue and still not ablle to detect the SCXI modules !!!!

Hi Js1tr3,

 

Have you tried the steps of the Knowledge bases linked on the discussion forum.

If you did, it would good to try to connect the DAQ card to the SCXI module with a cable instead of through the backplane given that you have a cable and the 1349 to do that.

Please let me know how it goes

I don't, but I did manage to get ahold of another chasis, and I swapped the controller daq card and modules. to determine that the chasis is at fault.
