Is it possible to extend the maximum connection distance to an SCXI chassis? I stretch about 75 feet from my computer to the chassis.

I don't have the expertise to wire a low-capacitance cable as suggested in another post. Are there any other options?

Could you consider putting the CPU at the SCXI location and then using a Keyboard-Video-Mouse (KVM) Extender? I use this type of arrangement to access my DAQ PC from over 100 ft away. Our testing is done in hardened "blast-proof" cells. The control room is in an "employee-friendly" area. So I use the KVM system to have a local keyboard, mouse, and monitor to access the PC in real time to take data and control the test facility. The KVM extenders use CAT5 network cable and can be used for distances of up to 500ft.

That's a great suggestion. Thanks a lot for the advice, AVR!
