You can find an example by searching the http://www.ni.com/support pages for "scxi-1142 and phase". You will see the "Comparing the Phase of Two Signals using SCXI-1142 Module(s)" example with a description, which includes the following:
"One interesting thing to do with this VI is to look at the phase response of the filter in your SCXI-1141/1142/1143. To do this, hook up a function generator or an arbitrary waveform generator to two channels of the module, and configure the module (using Measurement & Automation Explorer) such that the filter is bypassed for one channel but not the other. Expect a small amount of phase shift (about a degree or two) due to interchannel delay."
