using the oscilloscope to measure voltage

My students have built the JAMECO Adjustable dual power supply as a part of a project and have been instructed as follows by the writers of the project (not JAMECO):

"Now that the power supply is working properly, refer to the schematic with your team. Using the
schematic as a guide, and with your assembled power supply, work with your team to measure
the voltages at the following points, using the LabVIEW Oscilloscope.
1) Voltage at the transformer input
2) Voltage at the transformer output
3) Voltage at the diode output(s)
4) Voltage at the output of each capacitor
5) Voltage at the output of the voltage regulator
6) Voltage output of the power supply
7) Ripple voltage of the power supply"


We were given the instructional video "How to use the NI ELVISmx Oscilloscope (Scope): http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-
12942" as a guide.

 

We have mySTEM boards that attach to the myDAQs. How do we wire these so that we can read the above voltages? I am fairly certain that we can't measure the input to the transformer, since it is nearly 120VAC. The transformer outputs should be around 12.6VCT, the voltage across the capacitors should be around 18.5VDC and the NI instruction video clearly says not to send more than 10V through the myDAQ. We used a digital multimeter to see the voltage reading, but it would be great if we could see the wave forms as AC for some components and then turning to DC for others.
