timestamps with 10 microseconds accuracy when receiving ethernet frame

Dear all,

Is there some software/hardware that allows a PC running Windows 2000 or similar which is connected to an ethernet private LAN and it is only listening to put a timestamp with a 50 microseconds accuracy to each frame received. I guess the timestamp should be put by the ethernet adapter.  And using a LV RT operative system.

Is there some ethernet adapter that puts timestamps to received frames and keeps the data and timestamp in some buffer until the operative system reads the data and timestamp for the last XX frames.

If someone could put some light in the solution It would be great.

Thanks
Miguel
