rtd scc-68 PXI-6289 3 wire

I have an SCC-68 connected to a PXI-6289.  I am trying to connect a 3 wire RTD.  after I add the task in max I have 2 issues:

1:  the connection diagram is showing only 2 wires

2:  Someone before me used some of the terminals, but MAX is not noticing which terminals have already been used.

Hi PhilTAFB,

The connection diagram only shows two wires because the third wire goes only to the excitation negative and the excitation connections are not shown.  Please see this KnowledgeBase article for more information about how to connect RTDs to DAQ devices.

As far as MAX not knowing what terminals have been used, MAX allows you to set up multiple tasks for the same terminals, you just can’t run them at the same time, so you would need to look at what connections have already been made and choose a channel that has not been used previously when you set up the task.
