real-time desktop processor compatability - Intel Celeron E1200 Dual-Core processor

Hello,

In the Requirements for a desktop PC as a real-time target article (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/440BAF128AA75F95862572580081EB3D), compatability with Core 2 Duo and Celeron processors is listed. Are Celeron Dual-Core processors compatable as well?

Thanks,

Chris

And similarly, what about an AMD Athlon 64 X2 (dual core)?

Hello,

Yes, both Celeron and AMD Athlon appear in the list.  Their Dual-Core versions are supported as well.

My apologies.  I just noticed that the Celeron/Athlon entry in the list was not all encompassing and does not include the Multicore versions.  The multicore versions that are supported appear in the list.  I confirmed with other engineers at NI that the Dual-Core processors that you were asking about are not compatible.  This list in the KnowledgeBase is complete.

In case this causes any inconvenience, please let us know more about your application so that we can help.
