problems in connecting froml meter to cRIO

Hi everyone,

I am having problems in connecting a flow meter with 4-20 mA output to NI9207 module for use with cRIO 9076.

The model of the flow meter is this one:

and I am connecting it in the following way:

analog output (4-20 mA) to AI9 of the 9207 module,

+U to Vsup of the 9207

GND to the COM of the 9207 module

At the same time, I'm connecting the external voltage supply (24V DC) to Vsup and COM of the 9207 module.

The problem is that I always read the full scale (22 mA).

Which is the error in my connection?

What you're trying to do sounds right to me. Though, maybe a diagram or connection table would be useful for double checking. Check the analog output with a DMM and see how much current its trying to flow.

Update: after creating this thread, the user contacted the NI support department to open a service request, but when the application engineer got in touch with her she had already solved the issue by checking the connections.
