can i use PID control toolset without lab view real time to control pneumatic teststand

i am using DAQ assistants for input and output signals, and i am trying to control a pneumatic actuator,
i am not using lab view realtime, but normal lab view 7.1 with pid toolset,
can anyone help me?

Yes, the PID toolset will work without LabVIEW RT, in regular LabVIEW. You might want to use a timed loop, or other software timing tool to get "deterministic" execution of the PID.
